Subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation, funds may be provided to sponsor activities and/or initiatives of individuals, groups or organizations. All individuals, groups and organizations requesting funds must clearly demonstrate how their request is consistent with the Bennett and Albert County Health and Wellness Foundation Vision and Mission statements and how their request enhances the health and wellness of the residents served by the Albert County Community Health Centre.

Policy

The Board of Directors of the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation may set aside a specific amount of funding through the annual budgeting process to respond to requests for funds from individuals, groups or organizations.

Requests for funds are to be submitted to the Board of Directors using the approved form and assessment criteria.

All requests for funding will be assessed by the Board of Directors of the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation on whether the requests:

i. Is new and not a duplication of effort already being addressed by another individual, group or organization;

ii. Is consistent with the Foundation's Vision which is "To have a positive impact on health and wellness for the people served by the Albert County Community Health Centre with the support of our community;"

iii. Is consistent with the Foundation's Mission Statement which is "To raise and manage funds to enhance the health and wellness of our community, in the spirit of our benefactor, Judge Bennett;"

iv. Provides tangible benefits to the health and wellness of residents served by the Albert County Community Health Centre.

If funding is provided by the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation, the group or individual making the request must demonstrate, in writing, how the funds were spent and for what purpose.

Funding will not be provided to individuals, groups or organizations to pay for salaries or salary-related expenses of any employees or individuals.

Any funds provided to an individual, group or organization that cannot be used for the approved purpose are to be returned to the Bennett and Albert County Health Care Foundation.

Applications can be submitted at anytime throughout the year but may be considered by the Board of Directors on a scheduled basis to better plan the expenditure of funds
